A Safe and Secure Stay

At Jackson, we want to make sure you and your newborn are cared for, safe, healthy, and comfortable. Our Little Miracle Maternity Suites are all equipped with extra security features to ensure the safety of you and your baby. A security guard outside the main entrance to the unit only allows guests with passes to enter.

State-of-the-art devices attached to your baby’s ankle ensure your baby remains in your Little Miracles Maternity Suite with you unless it becomes medically necessary to move him or her to another floor. If a baby wearing a locator device is taken outside the unit without security and the nurses’ knowledge, a series of alarms will sound and all doors allowing entrance to the unit are closed and locked.

New Parent Pampering

New parents deserve to be pampered, too. Our private Little Miracles Maternity Suites offer numerous amenities and plenty of space for mom, baby, visitors, and one overnight guest.

If you want a little extra comfort, you can treat yourself to the soul-nurturing amenities of our Signature Maternity Experience, which includes lavish toiletries and nourishing gourmet selections.

What to Pack for the Hospital

You don’t need to bring much for your hospital stay. We provide many of the essentials you and your baby will need, so you can focus on your recovery and your new arrival.

For Mom

  • Your birth plan
  • Personal toiletries, like a toothbrush, skin care, and other personal care items
  • Comfortable clothes to wear during your stay and when going home
  • Slippers, socks, and a bathrobe
  • Nursing bra and comfortable underwear
  • Lip balm
  • Cell phone and charger
  • Your favorite pillow or other comfort items

We’ll provide essential postpartum recovery supplies, including sanitary pads, disposable underwear, and other products to help your body heal, as well as medicine.

For Baby

  • A few comfortable onesies or outfits that snap or zip
  • A going-home outfit
  • A special outfit for your baby’s hospital photos
  • A light blanket for the trip home
  • An appropriate infant car seat

We’ll provide diapers, wipes, and other everyday essentials your baby needs while in the hospital.

For Your Support Person

  • Toiletries
  • A change of clothes
  • Snacks and their personal items

Optional Comfort Items
Every labor experience is different. Bring items that help you relax and feel more comfortable, like:

  • Your favorite music or entertainment
  • Books or other reading material
  • A hand-held massager
  • A hand fan
  • An extra pillow
  • Another small item you plan to use for relaxation or as a focal point during labor

Most Important: Don’t Forget the Car Seat

Babies are required to leave the hospital in their infant car seat for a safe trip home.
